Case Studies : 1st Edition
Foreword Australian social policy places workforce participation and workforce skills as key factors in maintaining the nation’s economic prosperity. The importance of partnerships across government, industry, enterprises and the tertiary education sector has been highlighted in achieving this1 . Western Sydney Institute (WSI) is supporting the nation’s economic prosperity through its strategic direction of Workforce Development. This principle sees WSI partner with enterprises to provide customised workforce development solutions to improve business capability, productivity and sustainability. WSI’s ability to understand and adapt to the evolving needs of enterprises is at the heart of this strategic direction and this publication celebrates the breadth of the training that we can offer enterprises to support their workforce development. WSI Business Case Studies is a collection of our stories as we travel alongside enterprises to assist their workforce development. We have chosen seven case studies which highlight the diverse range of solutions offered to large and small businesses, government agencies and industry bodies. These solutions include skills assessment of employees, training programs devised specifically for an enterprise, consultation to improve productivity and expert advice on access to funding. Workforce Development has become a very strong component of Western Sydney Institute’s business. We trust these stories provide inspiration about how we can help your business achieve its workforce development goals. Our strategic intent is to contribute to the nation’s workforce development for many years to come.
